A stroke skills assessment provides a detailed analysis of your technique, highlighting simple adjustments to improve your   body position, breathing and propulsion. Your personalized stroke analysis report includes your benchmark pace rates, corrective drills and guidance to help you build better form, efficiency and speed.

Breathing must fit in the stroke cycle, not disrupt it. Performed incorrectly it can impact your body position, timing and rotation slowing you down. 

alignment

Keeping  a stable horizontal body position that holds both the hips and feet streamline while coordinating rotation, kick and stroke maintaining alignment for optimal efficiency. 

timing

Achieving the perfect timing of kick, pull and glide without stalling, breaking rhythm and dramatically increasing drag to maintain forward momentum slowing you down.

Building strong back muscles and flexible shoulders coordinating a  well-timed two-beat dolphin kick, to accomplish  the most taxing of the four strokes drawing awe and respect in the pool. 

 

I started with her already comfortable in the water but with no formal training. I wanted to develop proper breathing and technique to be able to swim for fitness. I have even now worked up the confidence to visit my local community center and join a lane swimming session. I would honestly recommend Kate to anyone – from a new swimmer looking to overcome any fears or apprehensions, to an experienced swimmer hoping to refine their stroke.

Kate is just absolutely amazing! She is not only kind, patient and knowledgeable but she is so talented. She has a quality of finding exactly what mistake I am making to outside of the water, underwater and while I trying out new skills. She has a very good and in- depth way in explaining concepts till they are baked into your muscle memory. You can tell she has years of experience and it shows every time I am training with her.
